Botox & Neuromodulators Services

ABOUT OUR

You don’t have to live with wrinkles and fine lines. Neuromodulators are prescription medications that will relax muscles of facial expression causing fine lines and wrinkles to fade. At Rainier Laser & Aesthetics Center, we use Botox and Jeuveau neuromodulators to accomplish just that. With tiny injections, you can quickly turn back time and prevent lines from forming.

Botox

STILL YOU. WITH FEWER LINES.

BOTOX® Cosmetic works beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults – to help them look visibly smoother.

Some patients receiving BOTOX® Cosmetic report the injections feel like a pinch. You may begin to notice a visible smoothing of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in just a few days, with maximum relaxation at about 14 days, lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment, the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines will gradually return.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION for BOTOX (onabotulinumtoxinA)

BOTOX® Cosmetic may cause serious side effects that can be life threatening. Get medical help right away if you have any of these problems any time (hours to weeks) after injection of BOTOX® Cosmetic :

  • Problems swallowing, speaking, or breathing, due to weakening of associated muscles, can be severe and result in loss of life. You are at the highest risk if these problems are pre-existing before injection. Swallowing problems may last for several months.

  • Spread of toxin effects. The effect of botulinum toxin may affect areas away from the injection site and cause serious symptoms including: loss of strength and all-over muscle weakness, double vision, blurred vision and drooping eyelids, hoarseness or change or loss of voice, trouble saying words clearly, loss of bladder control, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Neuromodulators

WHAT ARE NEUROMODULATORS?

There are four FDA-approved neuromodulators in the US. Neuromodulators are used to relax the muscles of facial expression and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. At Rainier Laser & Aesthetics Center, we utilize Botox and Jeuveau neuromodulators.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTOX AND JEUVEAU?

Both Jeuveau and Botox are produced from a purified protein of the botulinum toxin. Both are approved for cosmetic use in the US. Both last approximately 3-4 months. Jeuveau may take effect earlier than Botox in some individuals, however this varies from person to person.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

By relaxing the muscles of facial expression, neuromodulators can reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Neuromodulators do not erase wrinkles. However, if the muscles of facial expression are not moving, the skin overlying these muscles will smooth and lines and wrinkles will lessen.

GOOD CANDIDATES FOR

Neuromodulators

Clients looking for safe and reliable non-surgical ways to address fine facial wrinkles are good candidates for treatments using Botox or Jeuveau. Any skin sensitivities or underlying health conditions should be discussed during the consultation. Clients should keep expectations realistic.

If you have moderate or harsh midface wrinkles like parentheses lines, marionette lines, or nasolabial folds, neuromodulators are not the ideal treatment option. Our injectable soft-tissue dermal fillers are the best choice for these types of wrinkles.

Your Consultation

Clients will be asked questions during their scheduled consultation for neuromodulator treatments. These questions will range from any medication that they might currently be taking to information regarding past treatments and procedures.

Specific details about the injectables and what the treatments will involve will also be provided. If the client has any questions, they are encouraged to ask them during the visit.

Following a Botox or Jeuveau treatment session, no recovery period is required. Patients can return to their regular activities right away. Putting pressure on the affected areas is highly discouraged within a day following the session. Clients are also advised to avoid any strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours, along with heavy sun exposure.
